The County Clerk maintains naturalization records for the years 1907 through 1924. These records include the following: certificate of arrival, declaration of intention and petitions. A copy of these records is available for a fee of $20.00, payable in cash or money orders only.
A search of these records may be done by mail or in person.
If you do a search in person, the only fee you pay for is the copying fee of $.25 for the use of public copying machines.
To conduct a search by mail, the fee for the search is $10.00, and the fee for the copy is $10.00, for a total of $20.00. However if you have the volume and page number, the fee is only $10.00. This fee is payable by money order only. You can obtain the volume and page number by doing a research in the following website: www.jgsny.org
Mail your request, including the person's name and the years to be searched, with a stamped self-addressed envelope to:
