Purchasing an Index Number

Overview

The fee for an index number is $210, except for mortgage foreclosure actions.

This fee is payable to the Kings County Clerk in cash, money order, certified check, or New York State attorney's check. You must submit two copies of your summons and complaint, notice of petition or order to show cause and petition. You may mail the required documents, enclosing a stamped self-addressed envelope for your receipt and copy to:
