Regional Summits
on School-Justice Partnerships
Support
The Commission, in partnership with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, is sponsoring six Regional Summits with funding from The Atlantic Philanthropies, New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services and New York State Juvenile Justice Advisory Group. Working with state and local leaders and partnering with local hosts, six regional summits at centralized locations will provide the venue for local participation of cross-systems stakeholders to come together and raise awareness of the importance of focusing on the school-justice connection in order to promote promising and emerging practices and policies of our education and justice systems that can help children succeed in school and in turn reduce the number of children entering the juvenile and adult court systems.
