Bronx Civil

The Court hours are generally 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Access to the Clerk's Office after 4:30 p.m. is limited to emergency applications. On Tuesday and Thursday, the court is open until 10 p.m. for evening court. Please see below for specific office and courtroom hours.

Courtrooms generally open 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M-F, and are closed 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. The first call of the morning calendar is usually 9:30 a.m., but you must check your court papers for locations and times.

The General Clerk's Office is open 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., M-F.

All Cashiering Services (General Clerks/Commercial Part/ N.Y.C.H.A. / Illegal lockouts- unrepresented litigants are open 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. M-F. except the Small Claims Cashier closes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

Small Claims offices are open 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M, T, W, and F. and open 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evening Small Claims courtroom hours are 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. (Tuesday and Thursday only). Calendar call starts at 6:30 p.m.

The Help Center is located in room 121 and is open from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. M-F.

Windows for Interpreters, Answers and Orders To Show Cause are open 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M, T, W, and F, and until 7:00 p.m., Thursdays.

The HP (“Housing Part” tenant-initiated cases) window opens 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M-F and until 7:00 p.m., Thursdays, and is closed 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., M-F.

The Help Center is open from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., M, T, W and F, and 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays. The Help Center closes 1:00 p.m. - 2:15 p.m., M-F.

Landlord/Tenant offices (Commercial Part/ NYCHA/ Illegal lockouts-unrepresented litigants) are located at 851 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY 10451. The general hours are 9:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m., M-F. (Access to the Clerk's Office after 4:30 p.m. is limited to emergency applications.

On Thursdays when evening court is scheduled (1st and 3rd Thursday of each month) the Landlord & Tenant counter is open until 7:00 p.m. (Access to the Clerk's Office after 6:30 p.m. is limited to emergency applications. The L&T Cashier closes at 6:30 p.m.), and the Small Claims counter is open from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (Small Claims Cashier closes at 7:30 p.m.).

Small Claims courtroom hours are 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. (1st and 3rd Thursday of month only). Calendar call starts at 6:30 p.m.

The Building opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m., M, T, W, Th and F. All visitors must go through magnetometers.

The Courtroom is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., M, T, W, Th and F.

The Clerk's Office is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., M, T, W, Th and F.

The Landlord and Tenant Cashier is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., M, T, W, Th and F.
