On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, Presiding Justice Hector D. LaSalle and the Associate Justices of the Appellate Division, Second Department, presided over a ceremony to present the Fourteenth Annual Milton Mollen Commitment to Excellence Award. The Court was joined by Norman St. George, First Deputy Chief Administrative Judge, Wavny Toussaint, Presiding Justice of the Appellate Term, Second, Eleventh and Thirteenth Judicial Districts, and other judicial leaders. Scott Mollen, Esq., son of Presiding Justice Mollen, also was present and addressed the award recipients and guests. The ceremony took place at the Courthouse at 45 Monroe Place in Brooklyn Heights, New York.
The annual award is named in honor of former Presiding Justice Milton Mollen, in recognition of the achievements and efforts of the Unified Court System within the Second Department who have demonstrated the highest level of dedication, integrity and professionalism, qualities that are synonymous with those exemplified by former Presiding Justice Milton Mollen.
