Position: Unpaid Internship - Office Assistant

Location: Sixth Judicial District Courts of the New York State Unified Court System which are located in the following counties: Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison, Otsego, Schuyler, Tioga, and Tompkins.

Qualifications: Some experience in a professional office environment or formal education in the clerical, paralegal, word-processing, computer, business management, or public policy fields. Most importantly, intern candidate should be motivated to learn and assist in the day-to-day operations of the courts.

Candidate should exhibit: confidentiality, neatness, courtesy, punctuality, responsibility, and professionalism.

Volunteer or Unpaid Service: Opportunity for students and career-seekers to gain experience in a highly regarded State agency. Hours may be flexible. Opportunity to network. May receive recommendation from Court Personnel for quality work. For credit if your educational institution will grant it.

Distinguishing Features of Work: Varies depending on the location.
