Digest:         A full-time judge may make an appearance before the Executive Committee of a political party for the purpose of being interviewed as a possible candidate for the position of district attorney.

Opinion:

         A full-time judge inquires whether a judge may make a special appearance before the Executive Committee of a political party for the limited purpose of being interviewed as a possible candidate for the position of district attorney.

         It is the opinion of this Committee that there is no ethical objection to the proposed activity.
