Dear Judge

         The Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics, at its meeting of June 18, 1992, considered your Inquiry 92-68, concerning the use of unexpended campaign funds. Please be advised that this Committee has previous ruled that judicial candidates may not use unexpended campaign funds from one election for a later year's campaign. See opinions 92-29, 91-87, 91-79, 91-12, 90-06, 89-152, 88-89, 88-59, 87-16 and 87-02 (attached).

         Accordingly, you may not use the 1988 campaign funds for the 1992 campaign.
