         The Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics, at its meeting of January 24, 1991, considered your inquiry (91-08) , dated January 4, 1991, asking whether members of the district attorney’s office, public defender’s office, probation department and bar association may join the county magistrate’s association as non-voting members. There is no ethical prohibition to these individuals joining your local magistrate’s association.
