Dear Judge :

         This responds to your inquiry (11-67) asking if you may attend the City of [ ] Police Benevolent Association annual awards dinner and tribute to fallen officers.

         The Committee previously has advised that a judge may attend a Police Benevolent Association fundraiser (see Opinion 02-81). Based on the Committee’s earlier opinion and the information you provided, it is ethically permissible for you to attend the City of [ ] Police Benevolent Association annual awards dinner and tribute to fallen officers.

         Opinion 02-81 is enclosed for your information.
