Dear Justice :

         This responds to your inquiry (08-218) in which you ask whether, as a part-time Acting Village Justice, you may serve as a Daisy Troop leader. This Committee has concluded that there is no ethical prohibition to your volunteering to be a troop leader, subject to the restrictions on fund-raising activities which you mention in your inquiry.

         Please refer to 22 NYCRR 100.4(C)(3)(b)(i) and (iv) and also to Opinions 05-13 and 08-20, enclosed for your convenience, which address this issue.
