Acting Chief Judge Anthony Cannataro hires personal law clerks for two-year clerkships.
Hiring for the 2023 term has been completed. Clerkships begin in the summer, usually in June or July. Judge Cannataro’s home chambers are in midtown Manhattan. Law clerks are expected to travel to Albany when the Court of Appeals is in session.
Preferred applicants have exceptional academic standing and two to three years of legal employment by the time their clerkship begins. Applications should include a current resume, writing sample, law school transcript, and at least two letters of reference from law professors or legal employers, and a writing sample that has not been edited, or has been only minimally edited, by others.
Complete applications should be mailed to: Hon. Anthony Cannataro, Court of Appeals, 20 Eagle Street Albany, NY 12207, or emailed to Cannataro-chambers@nycourts.gov. |
