- Admitted to practice of law in 1999.
- Began his legal career as an Appellate Court Attorney in the Third Department from 1998 to 1999 and served again in that capacity from 2005 to 2009.
- Engaged in private practice of law from 1999 to 2004.
- Served as Town Judge for the Town of North Greenbush from 2004 to 2009 and also served as acting City Judge for the Cities of Albany, Rensselaer and Hudson in 2005.
- Appointed County Court Judge in 2009, was elected in 2009 and served through 2016.
- Elected to the Supreme Court for the Third Judicial District in 2016.
