Candidate Biography
Personal Statement |
- After his 1972 graduation from Villanova University, Justice Mastro was commissioned a U.S. Navy officer and was later honorably discharged. Upon admission to the bar, he served in various government positions, including principal law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Louis Sangiorgio. He was elected to the New York Supreme Court in 1992, and appointed to the Appellate Division in 2002. He has served as president and board member of various community and civic organizations, and retains membership in several bar associations. He has been married for the past 32 years to his wife Joanne. They have two children.
