To commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission, the Syracuse University College of Law Black Law Students Association held a screening of “A Bridge to Justice: The Life of Franklin H. Williams” on November 16, 2021.
Students learned about the Commission’s work to promote a judicial system that is free from all forms of bias and discriminations, with guest speakers including: Mary Lynn Nicholas-Brewster, Executive Director, Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission, and 5th Judicial District Williams Commission members Hon. Vanessa E. Bogan, Syracuse City Court; and Professor Paula C. Johnson, SU College of Law and Director of Cold Case Justice Initiative.
