The Commission salutes Honorable George B. Daniels on the twentieth anniversary of his service as a United States District Court Judge for the Southern District of New York. Judge Daniels was nominated by President Clinton for the Federal bench on August 6, 1999. With the support of New York Senators Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Charles E. Schumer, Judge Daniels was appointed to the Federal bench on February 24, 2000. As he reaches this impressive milestone, we are appreciative of his commitment to justice and equal opportunity. Judge Daniels has also been a long-standing member of the Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission. |
