Hon. Edwina G. Mendelson

Deputy Chief Administrative Judge Edwina G. Mendelson is tasked with implementing the recommendations of Secretary Jeh Johnson in his October 2020 report examining racial bias in the court system. Meet the E.R.G.’s!

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) – also known as business networks, fraternal or affinity organizations – are groups of employees who join together in their workplace, based on a common characteristic like ethnicity, gender, age, religious affiliation, etc. ERGs provide support for their members while working to enhance career development and professional networking in the workplace. Esperanza: A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage and HOPE! In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), Cervantes Society and Latino Court Officers Society recently hosted a widely-attended lunchtime program and panel discussion, on September 14. The virtual program served as the UCS “kick-off” event for many local court celebrations of Hispanic Heritage Month, which is observed annually from September 15-October 15. Read more...

 
 
 
 

Did you Know?

The Office of the Managing Inspector General for Bias Matters investigates allegations of bias based upon race, sex (including sexual harassment), sexual orientation, gender identity, domestic violence status, prior criminal record (in certain circumstances), age, marital status, disability, national origin, religion, military status, gender expression or gender dysphoria that affect the workplace or the terms and conditions of employment of UCS personnel, including acts that relate to services provided by court system personnel to the public.
