The New York State Court of Appeals is located in the 139-year-old Court of Appeals Hall in Albany. This building was originally constructed in 1842 as a State Office Building and converted in 1916 to the Court of Appeals Hall. In 1959 it underwent a complete renovation and restoration and it is currently undergoing additional renovation expected to be completed in 2003.
