Looking for employment can be very challenging, so having a team of dedicated professionals to assist participants can make the process less stressful. After assessment, the Vocational and Educational Counselors (VEC) will develop a plan to provide participants with the support needed to find he/she a job. VEC's might refer participants for vocational training through relationships with city, state and federally funded programs and agencies such as VESID and NADAP. Onsite, VEC's will work with participants individually or as a group in workshops to help develop job readiness and job search skills. Some of the workshops offered at the Career and Education Center are:

  • Interviewing Tips
  • Communication Skills
  • Dress and Presentation Skills & Techniques
  • Motivation & Goal Setting
  • Job Maturity Skills
