Court Examiners
Court examiners ascertain whether guardians appointed pursuant to the Mental Hygiene Law have filed the required reports with respect to both property management and personal needs, and ascertain whether guardians have complied with the order of appointment and have performed the duties specified. The Presiding Justice annually appoints one or more court examiners for each county in the Fourth Judicial Department.
