East End Regional Intervention Court (EERIC)

Mission Statement

The mission of the East End Regional Intervention Court (EERIC) is to assist non-violent, substance abusing defendants, who recognize their problems and voluntarily choose to enter into a contract with a court-supervised program mandating full participation in a drug treatment program, and regular appearances before the EERIC Judge. The court will monitor the participant's progress through all phases of treatment, and will provide other resources and opportunities to improve quality of life. In most cases, successful completion of the program will result in the development of a clean and sober lifestyle which, in turn, will benefit both the participant and the community. In addition, successful completion of the program will result in the dismissal and/or reduction of the participant's current charges.
