Court Tours - Suffolk County Schools Only

Court Tours offer young people a special lecture on "Careers in the Courts and the Criminal Justice System and the Court Systems of New York State and Suffolk County." This tour also includes a visit to the Arraignment Courtroom and the Sheriff's Detention Center.

Tours are available for grades 5 and up as follows:

Cromarty Court Complex in Riverhead on Tuesdays and Thursdays
9:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.

Cohalan Court Complex in Central Islip on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
9:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.

When requesting a court tour, please use a Court Tour Registration Form as verbal requests will no longer be accepted. The Court Tour Registration Form must be filled out and submitted to my office via mail or facsimile. Tour requests will not be taken prior to August 29th. Due to the heavy demand, only five classes per school can be registered. The maximum group size allowed is 28 with a minimum of 10. For classes of over 20 students an additional teacher and/or chaperone will be required.
